Wood Care:

To wash your bowl simply clean it with mild dishwashing soap and warm water. Rinse & dry immediately. Never submerge your wooden bowl in water. Do not put your bowl in the dishwasher. Do not put it in the microwave or oven. Do not refrigerate. Do not leave in direct sunlight. Forcefully stacking wooden bowls could result in them cracking, warping, or chipping. 

Depending on the look I want, I finish my bowls with 2 types of finish.

Polyurethane Finish:

My bowls are finished with multiple coats of a polyurethane finish. Depending on the wood type, the bowl could have up to eight coatings of finish. The finished bowls are then buffed with the 3 step Beal Buffing System. The final coat is a food safe Carnauba wax.

Walnut Oil/Mineral Oil:

For a more natural look, I use a Walnut oil or a food grade mineral oil. Then I hand rub in a final coat with a mixture of beeswax and mineral oil.
